Hang out and play some games with fellow gamers! Our Gaming Room is loaded with 30+ game stations and a variety of consoles! Play to win prizes and go head-to-head with other gamers in a variety of Tournaments or challenge their scores in a variety of scoring Competitions running throughout the dayGaming returns to TAGFest with a number of video and tabletop games available for open play, along with competitive events.

TAGFest gaming events will be available in rooms 310-316. PLEASE NOTE SOME CONSOLES MAY BE UNAVAILABLE AT CERTAIN TIMES.

Members of UT BASH will once again lend their valuable support to the tabletop gaming space. The organization features a number of tabletop games for attendees to sample, so don’t be shy and learn a brand new game!

The cosplay isn't necessary, but Cosplay Foam Combat is a fun way to compete against friends in a physical competition! Because of the physical nature of this event, please be aware of the activity required to participate, and all participants will be required to follow the rules and safety precautions.

Those who are younger than 18 years old need parental/guardian permission to particpate. If you are younger than 18 and do not plan on having your parent or guardian with you at the event, please fill out the permission form and bring it to TAG Fest.

Gamer Gauntlet Stage One - 10 a.m.-noon
The Gamer Gauntlet multi-game scoring competition returns to TAGFest! The competition is free to enter. Players enter by playing a game that won’t be announced until 10 a.m. Upon completion of the game, the player’s score is recorded. Players can play the game as many times as they wish until noon, with their highest score being registered into the competition. The top eight players will move on to Stage Two, which begins at 12:30 p.m

Street Fighter V - 2:00 PM
$5 entry fee - all entry fee money is placed straight into the prize pool for the tournament - minimum four entries needed to run tournament, payouts are dependent on number of people registered

Street Fighter makes its return to TAGFest after a year absence! The competition will be 1v1, best two-out-of-three matches in a double elimination tournament. The game’s DLC characters will be available for the competition.

Mario Kart 8 - 4:30 PM
A Mario Kart 8 competition will once again be held at TAGFest, but, this time, it will be free entry! Registered players will randomly be assigned a heat pool of up to three other players. These heats will feature three pre-assigned tracks, and the accumulated results scores of the tracks will determine who advances to a further heat. The number of heats leading up to final heat and the number of players that advance in each heat are determined by the overall number of players signed up for the event.

Smash Bros. for WiiU

The Smash Bros. for WiiU tournament once again takes center stage! With no further updates done to the game, the tournament ruleset will be the same as what was featured at Glass City Con. The basic ruleset is a 1v1 double-elminination tournament, 2 stock, 6 minutes, no items.

Cardfight Vanguard - 1:00 PM
A Relay Fight event will return to TAGFest! The entry fee per team is $15, with prizes to be determined. The official Relay Fight rules are in effect and can be viewed at

Dragon Ball Z: The Collectible Card Game - 4:00 PM
The characters of Dragon Ball will duke it out in a TAGFest constructed tournament with the most current CRD rules. There is no entry fee and the competition is open to all. The number of rounds in the competition will be based on player turnout.
