What? An anime convention isn’t enough for you? Well, we suppose if it’s a non-anime fan you roped into driving you to the convention who refuses to accept what’s good for them, they’ll find some respite in some of the local attractions.

Downtown Toledo is just a quick trip down I-75, where you can spend the day touring the Toledo Museum of Art, catch a baseball game at Mud Hen’s stadium, grab a dog at the famous Tony Packo’s, or drink and dine at the Docks. If you venture a little further south, you can visit the world-famous Toledo Zoo. For older visitors, the Hollywood Casino opens Spring of 2012. Just don't lose all of the money you would have spent on the dealers!

If local cultural entertainment isn’t your thing, you can keep heading north on 75 and find yourself in West Toledo, home of the Westfield Franklin Park Mall. There are dozens of restaurants and shops to choose from, meaning you can splurge and stuff your face in a variety of ways. You can also visit Strictly Anime while you’re there, but why would you want to do that when you’ll be at GarasuNoShiCon?

Want to get away from it all and enjoy some nature? Head east and you’ll ride through Oregon, Ohio, home of the gorgeous Pearson Metro Park. Keep heading east, and you’ll run into Maumee Bay State Park. You can take to the waters of Lake Eerie at Maumee Bay.

If you want to convince your family to take a trip (and make GarasuNoShiCon one of your stops), why not enjoy some anime and then head east down Route 2, where you’ll eventually run into Sandusky, host of the world-famous Cedar Point amusement park.

Just don’t forget about GarasuNoShiCon while you’re having all of this fun!
